Local professional organizer participates in Quantum Leap Nancy Patsios, owner of everyday ORGANiZiNG, and member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and its New England Chapter (NAPO-NE), will offer organizing training to women who are rebuilding their lives through a work readiness program. NAPO’s Quantum Leap program teaches paper, time, and money management to people in life-changing transitions. Patsios will volunteer her time to the Women@Work program based at St. Mary’s Center for Women and Children in Dorchester as NAPO-NE’s Quantum Leap Program Coordinator to provide organizational skills training. Organizational materials for class participants have been donated by NAPO affiliates and the local NAPO chapter. Manufacturers, including Esselte, have donated hanging files and manila folders, and NAPO-NE has donated durable portable file boxes, daily calendars, notebooks and office supplies. The Women@Work program is a 22-week job readiness training program that addresses the vocational needs of women who face multiple barriers to employment, including homelessness, lack of a high school diploma or equivalency, history of substance abuse or domestic violence, and difficulty obtaining or retaining employment.
