What is a Professional Organizer?
According to NAPO, the National Association of Professional Organizers, a Professional Organizer is an educator and coach knowledgeable about the principles of organizing. Through guidance, encouragement and support, a Professional Organizer helps clients create systems to 'find what they need, and need what they find'.

Can you organize for me?
It's important (and fun!) to work side-by-side so that the decisions made and systems designed fit the way you actually live.  Organizing is not a one-size-fits-all process, and requires your commitment and energy to achieve results that are best for you.  You are in control of your surroundings so definitely need to be an engaged participant.
Will I need to get rid of my stuff?
It may or may not be necessary to get rid of of anything, although, purging is a crucial element of the organizing process.  Many people have much more than what they need, and purging is a great opportunity to streamline and free yourself of stuff.  Plus, it will feel good to donate your unused or unwanted items to those in need or make a few bucks putting them up for sale.
How long will it take to organize?
Well, the short answer is, it depends.  Each area or project will be assessed and a work plan created. We'll work together to arrange a schedule that works best for you.  Work sessions are generally scheduled in three hour increments, and sometimes you will have 'homework' to do so that you can keep the momentum going and make progress in between hands-on sessions with the organizer.
Are supplies needed in advance?
There's no need to purchase any supplies before the organizing begins (that will create more clutter!).  Very often items you already own can be used to suit the newly organized spaces. The right containers can be chosen, and purchased if needed, when items are ready for storage.
What will it cost?
Fees are based on an hourly rate; package plans may be available for larger projects.  Fee structures will be discussed during the initial, free consultation, and payment is due at the end of each organizing session. Time for travel is included up to 60 miles round trip. Should you need to cancel an appointment, a 24-hour notice is necessary to avoid the full hourly rate.
